Child Support Mythbusters
This presentation by Joshua Banks of the Office of the Attorney General dives into child support myths to identify and understand the true Texas child support process.
Banks has over 15 years of ministry experience, nine years of law enforcement experience, and countless hours devoted to community service. He served as the program coordinator for the award-winning I-DADS (Involved Dads of Action Developing and Succeeding) program and received local, state and national recognition for community leadership, partnership and innovation.
Banks currently serves as the outreach and engagement specialist for the Office of the Attorney General's Child Support Division.
Family Law 101
This presentation provides a basic understanding of Texas family laws that address conservatorship, possession and access, child support, modifying existing orders, enforcing existing orders, and when nonparents can seek rights.
Fostering Interactions That Build Community
This training provides strategies for using and engaging participation in various types of community circles in a youth program. Morning meetings, closing meetings, restorative justice circles, and community circles help build strong communities for youth that create a foundation for healthy social and emotional growth.

Texas Child Mental Health Consortium: Game Changer in Youth Mental Health
The Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium is a model of statewide collaboration for addressing youth mental health and is the first of its kind across the nation. Twelve medical schools’ departments of psychiatry, along with three nonprofits and a Texas pediatric hospital, collaborate around five programs.
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss three resources to enhance collaborative efforts at the regional levels for youth, including the Child Psychiatry Access Network, Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine and the Community Psychiatry Workforce Expansion.

In this video, Family Support Services talks with Alissa Magrum, executive director for Colin's Hope, about water safety. Promoting water safety awareness should occur year-round, and especially in the summer when drowning rates rise. The program's goal is to reach as many people as possible so families practice water safety.
