Community Services
Family Support Services helps communities identify and meet their needs, enhances local services, and improves existing programs. It also shares tips for keeping children safe. The program helps families and communities by:
- Promoting healthy outcomes and strengthening support systems for children and families.
- Assisting families to achieve self-sufficiency and stability.
- Promoting workforce participation.
- Preventing or reducing risk factors that may lead to:
- Child abuse and neglect
- Juvenile delinquency, running away, truancy, dropping out of school, or substance use.
- Involvement with the child welfare system, juvenile justice system or the criminal justice system.
