Success Story
Texas Youth Summit
The Texas Youth Summit is an annual event where young leaders from Community Youth Development programs across Texas gather for a leadership skill-building experience. The 2024 summit was held June 29 to July 2 at Holdsworth Center's Campus on Lake Austin.
This annual event is an opportunity for over 100 young leaders in the program to convene with their peers across the state. Young leaders learn about well-being and leadership from engaging speakers and workshops, showcase their personal and group community achievements, and are empowered to make positive changes in their communities.
During the 2024 summit, young leaders presented their community issues through town hall presentations. Issues included raising awareness and providing resources for mental health, healthy relationships, bullying, basic needs support, pet adoptions, and youth empowerment.
